Brandon Van Leer is a Nashville native, visual artist, and proud graduate of Tennessee State University. Known for his striking monochromatic portraits rendered in graphite and charcoal, Van Leer captures the depth of human emotion, history, and legacy with precision and reverence. His work celebrates cultural icons, loved ones, and everyday heroes, often centering on themes of faith, perseverance, and, resilience, and excellence. 


Rooted in purpose and guided by a strong spiritual foundation, Van Leer views his artistic gift as a calling—to honor, uplift, and inspire. 


In addition to his fine art, Van Leer brings his creative talents to graphic design, children’s book illustration, and photography. His work has been featured in exhibitions and publications highlighting the impact of African American culture and history, timeless figures, and personally inspired works. He is also a an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.


With every project, Brandon Van Leer seeks not only to make art but to make meaning—documenting the stories that define us, and ensuring that those who paved the way are remembered as Timeless.
